If you want to spread the love this valentine’s day, we have a nifty little craft project that will be sure to have heart’s all aflutter!
Materials:
- Scissors.
- Glue stick.
- Super glue.
- Thick card.
- Textured cardboard printing paper.
- Printer.
- Your preferred writing materials: coloured pencils, felt tip pens, etc.
- Wrapped Chocolate bug.
Method:
1) Place textured printing paper in the printer.
2) Download and print your Cure All Love Bug Jar template.
3) You have three jars of various shapes to choose from. Select the one that best fits your chocolate bug, while also leaving plenty of room for your personal valentine’s message.
4) Now follow the broken lines with your scissors and cut out your love jar.
5) Next, glue your jar cut-out to your thick card.
6) Wait a minute for the glue to dry, and then cut out the jar while using your first cut line as a guide.
7) Now write your personal Valentine’s Day message in your jar (we’ve included a few insect-related puns to start the ideas rolling in). Be mindful of writing too close to the center point where your candy bug will be placed.
8) Now for the last and final step. Apply a little dab of superglue on the ‘X’ of your jar and place your candy bug on top to glue down (hold your candy bug down for a few seconds or until the glue has dried).
*Pro-tip: Wrap your love bug jar in cellophane for that cool profesh look.
Now all you need to do is gift your handmade love bug jar to your valentine. Deliver a smile to their face, and a little bit of sweetness to their day!
